Chris Matteis

My name is Chris Matteis. I'm an Undergraduate student at Univ. of the Arts, studying Painting/Drawing. This is far from an Artist Statement, rather a brief description. Here goes an ideal path of inspiration that i'd take on by choice in a 24 hour period:
1. Spend 4 hours in a freight train layout/yard and study everything I see, including the rocks under my shoes and rust on the tracks
2. Take a ridiculously long bike ride on my 10 speed and study my surrounding pedestrians' language, actions, and overall behavior, as well as droll over 'good' graffiti
3. Stop in any high rise uptown; at least 7 stories+ and stare at the conversation, stillness, and harmony of the city.
